Graphic Novels Challenge 2010

If anyone had told me this time last year that I would become a fan of Graphic Novels, I likely would have laughed at them. Just one book, that's all it took to grab my attention, turn me around and tune me in to a great genre that I had been previously ignoring. Looking forward to reading at least 6 or so in 2010!

Joe Sacco writes some really good graphic novels. My favorite of his is PALESTINE.
There is also MAUS by Art Speigleman which is about a Holocaust survivor who recounts his experiences to his grandson. I think it won a Pulitzer!
Another I enjoyed was V FOR VENDETTA -- I will stop now before I overwhelm you with suggestions....

Scrat: Suggestions are more than welcome, thanks! Maus sounds like one I'd be especially interested in.

Seth's It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken got me into GNs last year, and while I still love it immensely, I think the book that turned you on, is still my favourite. Other great ones I read last year are Chester Brown's Louis Riel, David B's Epileptic and Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis.

John: I read both Persepolis books last year but wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped I'd be. I remember your other reviews as well; will definitely check out the Seth title, thanks!
